MBIT in the Month Of May?

Hello lovely person reading this ;) Just another post from my Catastrophic life ^^

So! I've been pretty busy with school. Yeah, so that's why there hasn't been a post in a while. But I'm here posting now, and I suppose that's what matters! Let me make it count then.

I'm a member on YWS, the Young Writers Society. If you write, then you definitely need to go there. It's something you absolutely won't regret! If you do, then don't blame me. I said nothing :D So, yes, there I've heard a lot about something called the MBIT test or something or the other. So I looked into it and took three to get a result.

And MBIT test is a personality test. you're result stands for four letters. And there are 16 different personalities that you can score. Every human can fit under the 16. It's always best you take more than one MBIT test to get an average result. I took three. You could take more. Basically my results led me to INFJ. And apparently, INFJ is the rarest one you can possibly score.

3% of the worlds population is INFJ. 1% male and 2% female [I'm female by the way. Just so y'all know it]. So yeah, I just happen to be rare. Anyways, afterwards I looked up what it means to be INFJ and it kind of fits me! I will post more about being INFJ soon, and how closely it relates to me. But first, I want to hear some of your results for the test! Which do you fit under?

Oh, and while we're at it, I know you want another video of me playing my gorgeous harp. The song is called In The Month of May, although it's kind of September. Ssh, don't tell anyone. Just watch it :D

Inspiration

Inspiration can be hard to find. Maybe it's in a quote, or watching someone do something, or staring at an object long enough. Maybe it's a flash of an idea that suddenly hits your brain. Than a poem, a story, a song - it all comes pouring out. That's the hard thing for writers though, when the inspiration stops.

I had been having a hard time with editing my story. It's called Eyes Wide Shut. Let me give you a snippet of the beginning.

The book was open, resting on my knees. My fingers squeezed on the sides of the pages. I glared at the book for a second and then slowly read the first sentence. Nothing happened. So I continued reading, my eyes gliding over the printed words. Then it started. I felt the tingling feeling as small pictures began to grow larger, less blurring. I could see the servants and the enemies, the old families fighting while their youngsters secretly fell in love. The descriptions started to wrap themselves around my mind, weaving pictures of faraway lands, of majestic characters, of happy endings.

I slammed the book shut, almost catching my nail. My eyes swiveled around my room, as if I was looking for a witness. I couldn’t allow myself to be lifted up higher and higher by those intriguing images and then be dropped back into reality. Do authors really understand the power that nestles in their words?

It was another failed attempt at reading my English book for class. I would rather fail or scrape a pass than be immersed in unattainable worlds.

It's always hard to keep motivated, keep writing when you're not entirely sure where the story is going. My story is about a girl called Avril, and her younger sister, who finds themselves kidnapped in China after a horrific terrorist attack. They face a lot of consequences, but together, can they manage to escape and return home?

One major problem with me writing this is that I've never been to China, never been in a terrorist attack, and never been kidnapped. But other people have. Whether in fiction or real life, they have.

So I've been researching all I can, reading all I can and gathering as much information as possible. Today, after church a man came and he lived in China for six years. Somehow the conversation turned to my story and he gave me lots of tips and new viewpoints and ideas to think about. And he told me what China is like, and the appearance to an outside. If I was rich I might go and visit myself, but hey, that's not going to happen :P

However, I did find a good source of inspiration. Let me know what yours is? And thanks for reading thus far. Turned out to be a long post than expected!

Procrastination

Hello fellow readers!

So this is my third post, and I have a lot of thank you's to say! I honestly didn't expect to have seven followers by now... more so zero. So thank you everyone who is following and reading!

So for ages everyone's been on about procrastination like it's some new trend. I've never really had a problem with it. I'm usually able to see my work, and get it done. I'm a doing person, and I don't like wasting time much. Maybe I'll chat a little to the side of work, but it's done early, or on time. Till now. I'm so procrastinating, so then I stop, do a little work and drift away from it again. No matter how much I pull myself back to it, I can't focus! Ugh, it bothers me :P

Have any of you lot had problems with procrastination? Because, I'm blogging when I shouldn't. Not, that blogging is a waste of time. I should just do it afterwards, not now. Anyways, here is a video that is full of my... procrastination...

Hope you like it ^^ Do comment and like and the such :)

Here's some handy tips that I shall hope to follow myself now and get back on track with homework.

1. Stop thinking about it, and starting doing it.
2. Don't blow the task out of proportion. Honestly, it's not as hard as overthinking it makes it look.
3. Just take the first step. You'll be surprised how easily the others all follow
4. Start with the hardest task. Then the others will seem easier.
