Christmas Haul!

Hi guys!

It is so good to be back and blogging. After taking a break from blogging (well, a forced one, I had very limited wifi) due to being in England for the holidays with family, I am back! I don't usually do hauls, but this Christmas I got some nice gifts and then we hit the boxing day sales, so I wanted to share! Hope this is interesting enough ^^

In the boxing day sales I cam across a Models Own booth! Being the nail polish crazy person I am, and seeing them for only three pounds each, I bought myself some. I love them, and three of the four are gel. A buffer was a freebie ^^

Got these lovely books! Anna and the French Kiss was a trilogy I have heard a lot of good things about and can't wait to start. I'd Say I Loved You but Then I Would Have to Kill You is a book a friend recommended to me, and looks pretty cool. There have been a lot of positive reviews buzzing around The Winner's Curse, especially as the latest book came out, so I am excited to try that! Cinder is the oldest book on my TBR, and I somehow already own Cress, so I got the first two! And Richelle Mead's book was only for a pound, and even though that book is in the middle of a series I decided to get it so I can buy the rest later. I have heard a lot of positive things about that author!

Finally moving on to Supernatural season 2. I don't know why it takes me so long to watch seasons. Oh, and Luther is amazing :D

I really would love to call myself a Marvel fan, but I just can't because I need to watch more of their movies! So here are the Captain America ones to get me started. And I was rewatching The Avengers yesterday... such a funny movie ^.^

I absolutely LOVE this movie, so the soundtrack... it just had to happen.

Cute earrings!

This lovely nails set came from a friend for Christmas. Between this and the Models Own, I will have some lovely nails!

Meh, clothes are boring to include, But this is just a vague idea of the clothes I got :P

And two books for review arrived while I was away! I think the cover of For a Fee of 2 Shillings is gorgeous, and the Beckoning of Gyanganj looks like it will be good book.

So now I am preparing things for the blog in January, dealing with the schoolwork that needs to be done and enjoying the rest of the holidays. Looking forward to getting back into those regular posts :)

  1. I'm glad you had a great time (even with the limited wifi) When it comes to nail varnish I buy way too much and since I can't wear it at school there are way too many unopened bottles. Just another reason why I love the holidays!

    1. I don't mind being unplugged from wifi for too long, it's just the catching up with everything afterwards which is a hassle! Oh, we are allowed nail polish at school. But holidays are awesome nonetheless :D

  2. Ohh, I was wondering where you took off. Glad you're back though ! :D I hope you like Anna and The French Kiss Series, I thought it was a typical YA novel though, but a lot of people like it so let's see. I cannot wait to read your reviews :)

    1. I am happy to be back as well. It does sound like it might be a bit typical, but every now and again I do like to read the odd cliché book :)

  3. Glad you're back! I was pretty surprised at myself, to be honest. Normally, I tend to hibernate come holiday season, but this time around, I was still able to do some posts and comment a little as well. Go me! Lol. Anyway, awesome haul! I hope you'll enjoy Anna. :)

  9. I hope you had an amazing time in London! And I'm also obsessed with nail polishes. It's like a drug really hahaha so many colours! You got such great books! I've only read Anna and the French Kiss, which I loved, but I also wanna read the Lunar Chronicles series, everybody raves about that series! I'm a huge Marvel fan (only the movies though, I haven't read the comics) and I loved the first Capitan America movie, the second was a bit boring for me but still good. I need to watch Guardians of the Galaxy though because I need to know why everybody keeps saying is the best marvel movie ever!

My mom is more of a nail polish lover than I am, but since I never heard of this brand, I'm going to check it out. Hopefully they sell them here in America :)

  15. Great haul Olivia. Lucky you that you were able to get some books as gifts. I"m actually a fan of Supernatural but I admit I've stopped watching it mid season 8. Can't explain why but guess it lost its omph factor for me. Another year has passed and still not a new book to add unto my shelf was gifted to me. I did get a new washer as an early Christmas present. Had to actually as the previous one was old and had broken down on me for the third time. But as I was enlightened by a coworker that the washer was a present, a present it became. Also got two mugs and a Bath & Body Works lavender chamomile lotion from work.

    1. I have heard by a lot of people that when the show got too popular it's quality king of went down. It's a shame you couldn't like it anymore :( It sounds like you got some nice (and useful) gifts there as well. Merry Christmas :)

  20. Wow girl, I am so freaking jealous! England. Sigh. Please excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin.. haha! I actually just stumbled across the Lunar Chronicles while browsing Goodreads the other day. The synopsis sounds amazing and I just bought them for my Nook. I think they are my next read, so maybe we could do a buddy read type thing? I've got over a week until classes start back up so I'm pretty free. Also, if you need help making a banner type thing for your link, I'm pretty decent with Photoshop! You can send me an email at elysianfieldsreviews at hotmail.com!

    1. Oh my goodness yes. So much yes! I would love to do that Morrighan, and thank you for agreeing to ^^ I would then make a linky page and all that jazz as well. And buddy reading sounds fun, I've never tried it before and that would clear Cinder right off the TBR!
