Olivia Snaps #2 ~ Till Death Do Us Part

Good morning!

Olivia Snaps is my personal meme made for when I want to share some of my photography on the blog.

This morning I wanted to show you some of the little photography I do. It's not something I am very good at, but it a little side hobby of mine. I don't have a special camera or anything - all my pictures are taken with my iPhone. Nonetheless, here are six of them. All of these come from my 365 day photo challenge which I am currently doing as well.

Title: My Feet Read My Way Forwards

Title: Till Death Do Us Part

Title: Ik Geloof (I belive)

Title: Some sort of World out There

Title: Worn Shoes on the Ever Long Path

Title: Lay Me Down

That's all the pictures I have for you today. I shall be back soon for more, and I hope you liked them.

New Video! My book review for Pride and Prejudice!

Olivia's Question: Are you a photographer? Or do you just like taking pictures every now and again?

  1. Emma is probably my favorite Jane Austen novel, but Pride & Prejudice is a close second. I actually really like Elizabeth Bennet. I like that she is quite outspoken in a society where that isn't always appreciated. When people of a 'higher class' treat someone wrongly she is sure to make a comment about it. I do agree that she definitely has her flaws, but I also think that she grows a lot throughout the book. At the end she does admit to both Jane and her father how wrong she has been about both Wickham and Darcy. The book is indeed quite slow, but I did find it worth it. I haven't read Mansfield Park yet, but you've made me curious!

    1. Yes, she does admit that she was in the wrong, but at that point I was already so frustrated! I don't know why I couldn't enjoy that one as much as I wanted to, really...

  2. I have the novel for over a year now, still couldn't get past the first pages! ... It is totally my fault though, I knew it is not really my type, but I can't remember why I bought it in the first place! ... Anyway, it is lovely reading your posts ... and watching your videos :)

  4. I like you have unusual subjects for your pictures and that you made titles for them as well.

  5. I really like any picture that includes grass hehehe and about Pride and Prejudice, I tried reading the novel when I was 14, twice, and I couldn't pass from 50 pages both times. I blame the horrendous translation. Anyways, I do have to read it this year when Uni starts because it is required reading. Let's hope I can! My favourite Austen and the only one I've read but I just simply loved is Emma :) and no, I'm not a photographer but I do like to take pictures here and there. I wish I could do better sometimes or know more about the technique behind it so I could improve :)

    1. I hope this next time you read it it will turn out to be better for you! I know you do like your classics though :) I have yet to read Emma but many seem to love it, so I am looking forward to that one! I am hoping to get better at it too ^.^

  9. [ Smiles ] I see that you have a cool photography thing going on there.

And, no I have not read the book and since you are displeased with it, I would not bother to read it!

  10. Your picture are very cute! It's always better to have a camera to take picture, but if you don't have one, an IPhone or Samsung will do the job perfectly. They can take great looking pictures. I read Pride and Prejudice a couple of years ago, I actually really enjoyed it and liked all the characters. But, I think it's also because I'm used to this type of writing style. Lots of French classics introduce almost all the characters from the beginning and give a lot amount of détails about them. And the plot can at time be slow going. It's definitely not for everybody.

    1. Yeah I know, but I don't know about investing in a camera when this isn't a major hobby of mine yet? It would take dedication in that case. I am glad you could like it more than me. I do read a lot of classics and Jane Austen is the author of my favourite classic of all time (Mansfield Park) it's just that this one didn't work out for me.

  11. I love your photographs Olivia-Savannah! That one down at ground level looking through the grass was like there was some little creature peaking out of a hiding place. (Yeah! Story ideas!)

I'm seriously impressed with your video book reviews as well. I've thought about doing some of my reviews that way, but am a little gun shy. :O)

  14. I love the grass shot and your shoes are really nice. I just bought a DSLR camera - I am not a professional photographer, but I did take two years of analog photography (the one where you go in the lab and bring the pictures to life yourself) in Uni and one semester of digital photography. So I do love photography!

  17. Aww these are fabulous! I am not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but I DO love taking pictures! I am jealous of how great your phone's pictures are! I need a new phone, because it is hard to drag a DSLR all over the place ;) Love this feature, definitely keep sharing these, you're good at it!

  19. Ah, I have so much fun with photography, but I'm definitely only an occasionally snapper. I actually used to do it a lot more, when I ran two blogs, but now I focus on writing and reviewing, so not so much. Instagram is great, though- I can take and post whenever I feel like it! Your "Till death do us part" image is lovely.
