My Hoarding Catastrophe ~ Ban Strength, Request Weakness

Hi everyone,

My Hoarding Catastrophe is my version of a book haul here on Olivia's Catastrophe. I've been a very bad blogger lately and not too present. Life's more than a little hectic but I'll save that for my wrap up post, shall I?

I'm still on my book buying ban. I haven't bought a single book for three whole months. That's really impressive for me. But even though I have been being strong and fighting the urge to buy a book... I have been requesting ebooks like crazy. It's as if I'm trying to fill the gap of where I have been buying books >.> But let's just agree that it's been a while since my last haul so don't judge me too much based on the amount of books featured here.

Physical Books (and some library haul books as well!)

I went to the library. I haven't been in ages but the whole book buying ban thing was really getting to me at a certain point ;.; I also haven't had much time for reading lately so I thought, "Why not go get some graphic novels and mangas from the library?" So I did. And now I'm re-reading and re-experiencing all my favourite novels in pretty picture form and it's great. Also... LADY MIDNIGHT YOU GUYS.

Lady Midnight - Cassandra Clare (Thank you SO much Lekeisha @ Lekeisha the Booknerd for this giveaway win!)
The Cleansweep Conspiracy - Chuck Waldron (For Review)
Noughts and Crosses: The Graphic Novel - Ian Edginton
Twilight Volumes I and II: The Graphic Novel - Young Kim
Clockwork Angel: The Manga - Hyekyung Baek
The Berlin Package - Peter Riva (For Review)
Murder on Safari - Peter Riva (For Review)
Smash and Grab - Amy Christine Parker (For Review)
Miscast Spells - Rose Corcoran (For Review)
The 5th Wave - Rick Yancey (Giveaway win @ agirlreads)
Heaven - Christoph Marzi (Giveaway win @ agirlreads)
The Little Prince: The Graphic Novel - Joann Sfar
Cookies & Cups Cookbook - Shelley Jaronsky (Giveaway Win @ Shelf Awareness)

Freebie: I'm better at resisting these than anything else at the moment.

First Love, Second Choice - Lindzee Armstrong

Review Copies: Somebody help me ;.; 42. And that's within two months. *Starts furiously reading*

I would usually list the titles and authors but it's too daunting a task... even for me D:

New Video! My late video haul for April :P

    1. A good blogger would be a more dedicated one... at least when it is relating to myself! I hope to be around more - got plenty of blog posts planned. :3

  3. Wow you have a very long list of books to read and review.
I love quite a few of the book covers and hope they are as good as the covers :)
I am a mood reader so will pick up what I feel like reading for the moment. How do you choose what you want to read?

    1. It will definitely be keeping me busy. I'm hoping they will be too. I usually have a list of immediate books that I need to read and I work through those. Then I mood read with the review books I have to address. And seeing as review books are almost always ebooks, I read a physical book at the same time which is a mood choice and/or chosen to my reading challenge!

  4. You always get all these incredible looking books that I've never heard of! I've noted a few down that I'm going to wait and see if you do reviews for/see you read on Goodreads!

  6. Liv... and I say this as someone who loves you and who reads and reviews like an addicted maniac... how on this earth are you gonna read all that?

Seriously, are you planning on hiding it in the wardrobe and hoping it goes away or something? ;)

(Also, I love your blooper at the end of the video - sweet teenage pout thing you got going on there! ;) )

    1. I know, Cee... I'm kind of wondering the same thing myself. I'll just have to work REALLY hard at getting there. Gotta solve this addiction problem along the way too.

(Haha thank you xD It took me many years to get that pout perfect.)

  8. Woah - you got SO MANY BOOKS!! How did you manage to get 42 review copies? You're so lucky to have got an early copy of Under Rose Tainted Skies too - I really, really want to read that book, so I can't wait for its release. I hope you enjoy Lady Midnight and Clockwork Angel: the Manga! I haven't read either of them, but I really want to. I haven't read a manga yet, so it would be a great place for me to start - a book that I've already read, just in manga format. Lovely haul!

  9. Glad to see your post. Even though you have a ban on buying books, your post goes to prove you can't keep books away from a bibliophile. :)

It's hard when I'm constantly on Overdrive or at the library getting other books. I hope you enjoy these, and can't wait for your reviews!

You're definitely going to be busy with that reading list, that's for sure. I really need to check some of these out. We clearly have similar taste in pretty books covers, because so many of them drew me in as I scrolled down this post! ^_^
