My Hoarding Catastrophe ~ Quirky Quirks

Hi guys!

My Hoarding Catastrophe is my monthly book haul here on Olivia's Catastrophe. And I am SO excited to show you this haul. Want to know why?

Because you are in stall for the smallest haul I have probably EVER had on my blog. The highlight - I didn't spend a single dime on a book this month. Hehehe :3

(Psst... this is not my Christmas haul though. I'm a month behind with book hauls so you'll be seeing any new books from Christmas in the next haul.)

Physical Books:

If there was ever a bookish goddess (or something along the lines of that...) she was certainly smiling down on me! Because I won an epic giveaway from Quirk Books, the publishing company, and won $250 worth of their books. This is what I got:

Pride and Prejudice Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith
Miss Peregine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
Miss Peregine's Journal for Peculiar Children
Pride and Prejudcie and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls by Steve Hockensmith
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After by Steve Hockensmith
My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
Horrorstor: A Novel by Grady Hendrix
William Shakespeare's Star Wars by Ian Doescher
William Shakespeare's The Empire Striketh Back by Ian Doescher
William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return by Ian Doescher
Dracula's Heir by Sam Stall
The Crimes of Dr. Watson by Duane Swiercynzski
The Geek's Guide to Dating by Eric Smith

For Review: What treachery is this? I only accepted one e-copy for review. I promised myself I would be reading less ebooks and more of my physical TBR this year, so I'm sticking to that resolution :)

  1. I love Quirk books! Congrats on winning their giveaway. I'm sticking to my goal of not requesting a lot of books, the same as last year. I need to get my physical TBR down too, but also my ebooks that I've had on my Kindle forever. I'm only buying physical books that I want to read immediately, so I recently ordered Wayfarer, Carve the Mark, and Human Acts. They should arrive next week, so I'm going to dive right into those. I got a couple of unsolicited ARCs in mail this week, but I know for sure I'll be reading and reviewing one of them soon. Happy Saturday!

    1. They're really great! And thank you, it made me so happy. I'm glad that we're both working towards that goal... hopefully we'll be able to cut it down significantly this year! I hope they come soon and you can enjoy them! Carve the Mark especially sounds good to me :3

  2. Lucky you! That is a great giveaway win. I have only read one book in that big pile of books but several of them are on my TBR list. Enjoy!

  3. Congrats on the giveaway! I've only bought one book recently this month, The DUFF. I'm a 'read the book before watching the movie' person, so I was bummed that I didn't know about the book before I watched the movie. But at least I've got the book now and I'm surely gonna read it soon :)

    1. Sometimes it happens a book can slip through before you get to see the movie. I do hope you like the book though!

  7. Oh my goodness congratulations!! You must have been so ecstatic!! I know I would be :) You have so much more restraint than I do for accepting R&R's... I just want to read all the books :) I hope you enjoy all of your pretty new books, Olivia!

    1. I really was D: I actually even asked if they were sure I had won and they didn't mind shipping international xD I have to admit, since this haul my resistance has slipped a little bit...

  8. Well done on the discipline required to not buy loads of books and request loads of eArcs XD

  9. Hello sweetie! It's great to be so young and so passionate about books.
Even if that's not what I usually read I find your book reviews excellent and you're quick-witted. :-))
Recently I read books that were on my shelf. But the last book I bought (December 2016) was Wuthering Heights.

    1. You can never have too many books <3 Aww, thank you :3 Even if we do read different genres, there are still things we can learn from each other. And discover!
